How do you describe your role in your cat's life?

Obviously, "owner" won't do. We clean their toilets, brush their coats and care for their every need. Who is the one getting pwned here? I've considered "personal valet" or "companion biped." Has anyone else found a good description for this one-sided (but delightful) relationship?

significant other. yes we do all this for our cats but a true cat lover knows that they return the favor threefold. every time they curl up on our laps and purr. every time they climb in the bed and lull us to sleep with their purring. cats may be stand offish but they always let us know they love us.
