Hey my mom and I just got a new kitten and we bought her a catnip toy but my mom won't let me give it to the kitten until she finds out the it's safe for her to play with it. My mom is very overprotective about these types of things because she heard that catnip makes cats act weird or something like and she's paranoid about it even though I told her that it was ok. Yep. Catnip is perfectly harmless to cats. They can even eat it without having any ill effects. It does make them act wierd, but it's not a drug or permanent effect in any way.
