I just got an 8 week old shiba inu and I didn't know what type of collar i should use. I heard that they can slip out of normal collars easily so i need to know weather to get a harness for her or a martingale collar or a normal collar.
I also was wondering if I should get a normal collar for home and use one of the other two for walks.
well, a harness is ALOT safer for your puppy, hes is only 8 weeks old and his spine and bones are still developing. a collar is uncomfortable for them on walks. since he is a puppy he will probably pull and then choke. i know that from experience. a harness allows you to be able to tug on the leash with confidence that you wont hurt your puppy. i highly recommend you get a harness.
